Youth Chess Club is open to children ages 6-12 years old. Come play chess with other children. Participants will learn for the first time about the different chess pieces and how they move on the board, or will reinforce information they’ve learned through previous experience.

This group meets the 4th Wednesdays of each month. Children 10 and up meet from 2:45 - 3:30. Children 6 - 12 meet from 3:45 - 4:30.

The library now subscribes to two chess magazines, "Chess Life" and "Chess Life for Kids".
